“Breezy” - Conor Oberst
It’s funny to me that the very best thing Conor Oberst ever created and recorded with his Mystic Valley Band wasn’t even on the eventual record they put out. This song, one of the most beautiful Oberst has ever penned (to these ears at least), was made available on a tour-only EP entitled Gentlemen’s Pact.
It was written after the sudden death of his friend Sabrina Duim, who played harp for Bright Eyes on tour a few years back.
Move your slender fingers, help me play this song…
